How to save Instagram photos and carousels
Saving a single photo
Copy the post link from Instagram (share → copy link) or from your browser address bar, paste it above, and press “View photos”. The photo appears at its best available size — press “Save this photo” to download it. The file keeps its real format: a WebP stays .webp, we never rename formats.
Saving a photo carousel
For a multi-image post, every photo appears in the film strip below the viewer, in the original post order. Click a thumbnail to view it; use the checkbox on each thumbnail to select what to download. “Save this photo” grabs the one you are looking at; “Download selected as ZIP” packs every checked photo, with a _manifest.txt listing the exact contents.
Posts that mix photos and videos
If a carousel contains videos, they stay visible in their original positions (marked ▶) so the order stays honest, but they are not offered as photo downloads. This site is for photos; for videos use ReelFetch.
What this tool does not do
No private or deleted posts, no login, no Instagram account required, no stories, no bulk account downloads, no “4K enhancement”. We serve the best size Instagram actually provides for the photo — never an upscaled fake.
Frequently asked questions
Do you store the photos I view?
No. Photos are streamed through the site to your browser while you view or download them; nothing is permanently mirrored here.
Why does my saved file end in .webp?
That is the format Instagram serves for that image. We keep the real format instead of renaming files to .jpg — any modern browser and image editor opens WebP.
A download link stopped working.
Download links expire after 15 minutes for security. Resolve the post again and you get fresh links.
Is this an official Instagram tool?
No. PicVault is independent and not affiliated with Instagram or Meta. Save only content you have the right to save.
Does the trending list come from Instagram?
No. Our daily picks are media-covered posts ranked by their public like counts — it is not an official Instagram chart, and every page says so.
